Bob's Lake-Frog in the Making

The artwork in the picture of my journal is that of Gwen Frostic, a Michigan artist.

Written in early teens in journal, anywhere from 5th grade to 7th.

A couple summers ago [actually fifty years ago now] at Canada, Green Bay.

Barth and I were catching frogs in a small, horseshoe-shaped cove. We waded among hard bits of mica and orange-tinted sand, collecting shells and treasures. The day was grey and misty-moisty and we were being frantically called.

Barth found him close to shore. It was a [treas] miracle in our inexperienced eyes and rather peculiar.
